Wait a minute. This is great and all but what exactly is the CDAP - Canadian Digital Adoption Program?
The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) is a government program that offers two grants that will help you get online and use technology to build your business:
- The Grow Your Business Online grant gives you up to $2,400 to set up e-commerce and grow your sales online.
- The Boost Your Business Technology grant gives you up to $15,000 to get advice on the technologies that can propel your business forward.
Boomerang is an approved advisor for the Boost Your Technology Grant. The grant covers 90% of digital advisory costs up to $15,000 to help you implement a digital adoption plan.
Once your plan is approved, you are then eligible for a 0% loan up to $100 000 with BDC!

The Boost Your Technology Grant
Some of the most common questions we receive
There are four qualifying criteria that the organization must meet in order to apply:
- To be federally or provincially incorporated, or be a Canadian resident sole proprietor.
- To be a for-profit, privately owned business.
- To have between 1 and 499 full-time equivalent employees.
- To have at least $500,000 of annual revenues in one of the previous three tax years.
No, the grant is for strategic and advisory purposes. But once you've implemented your digital adoption plan, you can then apply for the $100,000 interest free loan to put towards technology acquisitions through CDAP!
No, an owner or director of the company must be the one who submits the application. Your advisor can support you with information on how to apply and answer any questions you have.
After the completion of the digital adoption plan, the funds will be reimbursed by the Government of Canada. You can claim back 90% of the total outlay, up to $15,000. You will need to submit the invoice from your digital advisor and your digital adoption plan.
The duration of engagements will be approximately 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the agreement, and can begin one to two weeks after signed contracts are received.
What a relief to know that the engagements will begin just three weeks after receiving signed contracts and will last for approximately 6-8 weeks depending on the agreement!
Your strategy development, analysis and digital adoption implementation plan will be led by a highly experienced digital expert and a team of skilled individuals with strategic and technical backgrounds!
If you choose to work with us, we can offer implementation services based on the strategic roadmap we develop together and the extensive knowledge our team has from previous implementations, certifications, and expertise across various platforms and relationships with technology providers.
A comprehensive analysis of your current digital maturity level, including an overview of potential business problems or opportunities that can be addressed through technology.
An evaluation of various digital solutions, along with a recommendation on which solution to choose.
Additionally, a comprehensive digital strategy will be provided, as well as guidelines for its implementation and the necessary resources required.
A roster of approved digital advisors is available from the Government of Canada, from which you may select.
If each entity meets the eligibility requirements to apply, then you can submit separate applications for the grant.
Accessing funding through the Programme Audit Industrie 4.0, Digital Boost 2.0, or the Digital Acceleration Pilot disqualifies you from eligibility for the Boost Your Business Technology grant. However, you may still be eligible for a $100,000 interest-free loan from BDC.
As part of the Boost Your Business Technology grant, organizations can apply for a $7,300 wage subsidy to hire students or recent graduates to work on digital initiatives.
Boomerang is not an advisor for the Grow Your Business Online grant(the $2400 grant), as it is only an advisor for the Boost Your Business Technology stream of the CDAP program. (the $15000 Grant)
